THE CLOSING CEREMONY ON COOPERATION PROJECT BETWEEN HNMU AND WORLD SOCIETY FOR THE PROTECTION OF ANIMALS
On 28 March 2016, Hanoi Metropolitan University (HNMU) in coordination with World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) held closing ceremony on Concepts in Animal Welfare (FCAW) program.

Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dang Van Soa, Vice-Rector of HNMU; Mrs. Bui Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Head of Science – Technology and Cooperation Development Department; Mrs. Nguyen Thu Tra, Coordinator of Educational program; Mr. Le Duy Phuong, Coordinator of Bear Protection Program and 30 lectures.
The cooperation project was carried out in two years 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 aiming to raise students’ awareness and to change their behavior on environment protection. Thanks to the provision of necessary knowledge, values, attitudes and skills, the project has developed the teaching capacity on animal welfare.
After 2 years of implementation, the project has integrated the content of animal protection into strength training majors of HNMU; organized training courses on animal welfare; integrated animal welfare education topics into the curriculum… It was expected that lectures who attended the project will integrate animal welfare program into their teaching curriculum after finishing the project.
At the end of the closing ceremony, the Project Management Board awarded graduation certificates to 30 lectures following two forms: Educational specialist on Animal Welfare Education and Educator on Animal Welfare.
