5. Admission Methods:
5.1 Direct admission and priority admission:
Candidates who are national team members participating in official international competitions recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (e.g., World Championships, World Cups, Olympics, ASIAD, Asian Championships, SEA Games, etc.) and have completed their duties, with the award date within 4 years from the time of admission.
Candidates must have achieved a "fair" or higher academic performance in Grade 12 or a high school graduation exam score of 6.5 or above.
5.2 Admission based on Grade 12 high school academic records:
Using four subject combinations:
T09 (Mathematics, Aptitude Test 1, Aptitude Test 2)
T10 (Literature, Aptitude Test 1, Aptitude Test 2)
T05 (Literature, Civic Education, Aptitude Test 1)
T08 (Mathematics, Civic Education, Aptitude Test 1)
Candidates must have achieved a "fair" or higher academic performance in Grade 12 or a high school graduation exam score of 6.5 or above.
5.3 Admission based on the National High School Graduation Exam:
Using the same four subject combinations: T09, T10, T05, T08
In addition to meeting the minimum threshold set by the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates must score at least 5.0/10 in the aptitude test.
The aptitude test is held directly at Hanoi Metropolitan University
Aptitude Test 1 (NK1): Standing long jump (2 attempts, the best result is counted)
Aptitude Test 2 (NK2): Shuttle run (4 × 10m)
Conditions for exemption from the aptitude test:
National-level athletes or champions; gold medalists or first-place winners at provincial or higher-level sports events held once a year are exempt from the aptitude tests and automatically awarded a score of 10.0 for each aptitude subject. The achievement must be within 4 years of the admission time.
Silver and bronze medalists; second and third place winners at provincial or higher-level events held once a year are also exempt and awarded a score of 9.0 for each aptitude subject. The achievement must be within 4 years of the admission time.
If candidates only apply using combinations T05 or T08, they may take only one aptitude test (NK1).
(Candidates may also use aptitude test results organized by other accredited higher education institutions for admission consideration.)
